JPButler - 33

JPButler - 33: "I'm 33 today. Call me Larry Bird. Call me Jason Varitek.

32 was eventful. Got married. Bought a house.

Now, we have a little girl on the way. 33 is looking pretty sweet.

Every once in a while I pine for a simple rut, a break from change, time to catch my breath. My last good rut was in the fall of 2002. The next one may not be until 2022."

Vic Thrill & Curly Oxide on This American Life

I've long been a faithful listener of Vic Thrill. Their debut album is spectacular. Well - riding in the car today and listening to This American Life - there was a killer radio story on about how Vic Thrill discovered this Hasidic Jewish guy and for 2 years it was a wild ride as he discovered the world of music and they became great friends.

I also just read they've sold this story to Paramount Pictures and Tina Fey is writing the screenplay. Wild. The story is great but the radio play was also very interesting as it gave details about Vic Thrill, the Salon, and the main guy in the band (Vic Himself) tells the story.

Movie info here, VIC THRILL, and the Radio Show in Real Audio Format.
