Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach | Game Reviews | SCI FI Weekly:
Thirty years ago, Dungeons & Dragons was radical stuff. Geek or chic, its character sheet and graph paper scribblers were combining algebra, cordiality and prose (if purple) by the pound in what amounted to composite narrative jams. Huddled in small dorm rooms and musty basements, these egghead dice slingers might expound on the most arcane minutiae: Does a barbarian's naturally tough exterior benefit his +3 adamantine armor? What's the precise angle of attack for a green slime lurking one hex "around the corner"? Or my favorite: Why cast a "Time Stop" spell if it stops you, too?
